Save places and Chinese details before your China trip

What to do

1. Choose a place in Discover or a city page. Check its Chinese name, city, address and source notes so you save the venue you intended.
2. Use Save to keep the place on this device, or Add to trip to put it among your planner ideas. These actions do not create an account or cloud backup.
3. Open Saved and any saved trip while connected. Open Show Chinese / Show driver and keep the relevant address available before you go offline.
4. For AMap, try the Chinese venue name and confirm the result’s city and location. Its help describes place-detail favourites and cloud sync after sign-in; use the interface in your version.
5. Keep your device storage and cached pages. Opening an external map still depends on that app, its sign-in requirements and the available connection.

Favourites in AMap

AMap’s official V7 help describes a favourite action at the bottom of a place-detail page, a favourites list, and cloud sync after signing in. Because this is older help, menu labels and layouts may differ in the current app. It does not establish a universal no-login workflow.

If a pasted English street address is hard to find, try the Chinese venue name and check the city and address in the result. Use ChinaLocal’s Chinese details as another reference; a name alone is not proof of the correct entrance.

Saved information and offline use

ChinaLocal stores saved places and trip ideas on this device. Show Chinese in a saved itinerary and Show driver / Copy Chinese on a place card use the available place details. Open the information while connected so the relevant page and assets can be cached.

The offline shell includes Saved and other core pages, and previously visited pages may be cached. A first visit while offline, a page that was not cached, cleared browser storage or an external map cannot be guaranteed to work. Keep a second copy of essential travel details if you need one.
