Find dated, source-labelled checks of whether a hotel has confirmed its international-guest registration process. If a hotel is absent, its status is unverified here.

This feature is new: we currently have verified records for only a small number of hotels, and are adding more through direct phone and on-site checks. If your hotel isn’t listed yet, that doesn’t mean anything is wrong — just that we haven’t checked it yet.

China’s 2024 national guidance says accommodation operators should not refuse overseas guests solely for lacking a separate “foreign guest qualification”. Hotels must register foreign guests.
